The Internet can be a fun place, but it can be super negative. RELAX and enjoy yourself! People getting into little “web fights” about he/she/it/they/them….Shut up, train hard and enjoy your life. Fitness is supposed to be something that enhances our entire life. If your program isn’t doing that, move on to something that will. I get the occasional comment about something posted here meaning something else..if I am talking about you,  or have any problems with you, it will never be unclear!

I really LOVE Paleo, and think the video below gives a funny breakdown of exercise ideas. One thing I am not a big fan of is the “caveman” and “warrior” models. There has been a ”mini movement” of folks replicating a caveman lifestyle. Here is a nice article from NYT focusing on it.  I eat Paleo because I like it, the food choices are clean, available and simple and it really focuses on health and longevity. Allot of people and sites get caught up in the Caveman aspect of it, and play with fasting and get into eating alot of organ meat. I am not at all saying that this is bad/good, it just isn’t the model that I chose to follow. I love the food choices and reasoning behind them, with Paleo but spend no part of my day wondering what a cavemen would do. Educate yourself and stick with what works for you.



GREAT running weather this morning for the Tim Kennard 10 Mile River Run and 5K. Everyone running did a great job and should be proud. Lisa, Shelly, Barb, Brandon, Lee, Kate,Karen and Laura ran a great 10 miler. For a few of you this one your longest run, so check that one off the list. Pat, Gloria, Nolan, Suzi, Christine, Mary, Dave,and Amanda ran the 5K. Lisa won her age group and Brandon placed 3rd in his age group. Good showing everyone.

If you’d like to carpool or follow, we will be meeting at Dunkin Donuts in the Food Lion Shopping Center near the South Gate in Ocean Pines. We will be leaving at 7:15am.
